We have been invited to take part in a BioBliz at Phillips Park in Prestwich, North Manchester by the Greater Manchester Ecology Unit and the Lancashire Wildlife Trust.
A BioBlitz, is an intense period of biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area. Groups of scientists, naturalists and volunteers conduct an intensive field study over a continuous time period (e.g., usually 24 hours).
We are going to be taking part in Phillips Park BioBlitz Sunday 18th June 207 – recording the fish and insects we find in the River Irwell, Bradley Brook and Waterdale Lake………. it would be great if you could come a long and take part . We will be setting up at 11am and leaving at 4pm

And follow the path to Waterdale Lake where you will see our purple gazebo…..
